Born on August 31, 1947, and raised in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Mortimer Michael and Mary Martha (Butler) O’Flahaven, and lived 53 years with her life-partner, Kevin Michael O’Brien.
Eileen attended St. Patrick’s Grammar School and graduated from Lowell High School in 1965. She went on to work at Model Cities where she met Kevin, the love of her life. They enjoyed traveling together, taking a year to drive cross country throughout the US and Canada with their camper and motorcycle, sharing many adventures. Eileen also enjoyed traveling with her sister Sheila and her husband Bill Foulds to Europe including trips to France, Italy, and the especially memorable playing golf in Ireland. In later years Eileen became involved with the Senior Center in Dracut, taking lessons in Tai Chi and art and enjoying the friendships she made there. Drawing and painting became a pleasurable pass time.
