Beloved wife, “Proud mother”, grandmother, sister and friend;

 

 

Cynthia A. “Cindy” (Decker) McAndrews, 59, of Lowell passed away peacefully on Friday April1, 2022 at her home.

She was the loving wife for over 29 years to William M. McAndrews, Sr., who survives her.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, February 19, 1963, the daughter of  the late William H. and the late Betty Ann (Tanner) Decker, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Greater Lowell Vocational High School Class of 1981.

Cindy continued her education at Newbury College where she graduated in 1991 Suma Cum Laude with Degrees in Business and  Para Legal Services.

Prior to her retirement in 2015, Cindy was an Administrative Transcriptionist with Claim Services, Inc. for several years. Previously, she worked in the Lowell Public School System as a Parent Liaison, legal assistant and paralegal.

Besides her husband, Cindy is survived by a daughter Bridget M. McAndrews of Lowell; two sons William M. McAndrews Jr. of Lowell and SPC Michael J. McAndrews with the U.S. Army in Texas; a grandson Mason J. McAndrews of TN; a sister Elizabeth Taylor of Rochester, NH; two brothers Charles R. Decker of Chelmsford and Michael K. Decker of Tewksbury; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews; her special lifelong friend Sandra Bowers of Lowell.

She was also the sister of the late Robert W. Decker and William H. Decker, III.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in Lowell on Thursday April 7, 2022  from 4 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday morning April 8, 2022 at ST. Albert A. “Sonny” Richard



Beloved father, husband, and grandfather;



Albert A. “Sonny” Richard, 83, of Lowell, Massachusetts, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Saturday March 26, 2022.

He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Georgene L. (Dupont) Richard, who survives him.

Born in Lowell, MA, July 8, 1938, the son of the late Albert J. and Lena (Macieiewski) Richard, he attended St. Stanislaus School in Lowell.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Sonny proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy.

Prior to his retirement, Albert worked for many years as a security guard at MA Com in Lowell.

A proud Veteran, Albert was a true vocal Patriot for his spot-on political views. He was also a lifelong Green Bay Packer’s fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters Jill Masotta and her husband Paul of Hudson, NH and Lori Millette and her husband Paul of Hudson, NH; a son; Troy Richard, of Lowell, MA; his four grandchildren, who he deeply adored, Mason and Carson Masotta, Paul and Brie Millette.

Mark E. Smith








Mark E. Smith, 69,  of Lowell, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Sunday March 13, 2022 in Tyler, Texas after a brief illness.

He was the beloved husband for over 22 years of  Suely P. (Pereira) Smith, who survives him.

Born in Fontainbleau, France, December 11, 1952, the son of the late Charles G. and the late Dorothy L. (Doucas) Smith, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Mark served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

A man of many interests, Mark enjoyed sports , especially football, poker and politics. He enjoyed fishing, reading and chatting over a cup of coffee.

Prior to his retirement, Mark was a Quality Control Inspector at National Northeast Corp in Pelham, N.H. for many years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons Kilder P. Smith and his wife Dierdra of Dracut, Ryan Smith of California, Aloizio P. Cruz of Brazil and Wilker P. Smith and his girlfriend Thalita Luque of Dracut; five grandchildren Kayden, Isabella, William, Lucca and Destiny; a sister Patricia M. Hawes and her husband Donald M. of Texas; a niece Paula M. Passerini and her children Lauren, Katelyn, Olivia all of Nashua, NH; a nephew Scott P. Trepaney, his wife Michelle  and their children Zoe and Reid of Gloucester, Maine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Visitation on Wednesday morning March 30, 2022 to be held at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 9 to 11 AM. His burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Administration Cemetery in Winchendon, MA at 1:00 o’clock. (Please meet at the Cemetery). Well known Acre family;





John J. “Jake” Davis, 71, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, passed away after a brief illness on Friday March 11, 2022, at Everett Rehab and Nursing Center in Everett, MA.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, December 23, 1950, the son of the late William and the late Madeline (Casey) Davis, he received his education in the Lowell school system.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, Jake served his country as a member of the U.S. Army.

Jake was a utility technician for many years with the City of Lowell Water Department until his retirement and was a loyal member of AFSCME Local 1705. Previously, he worked for the Courier Citizen for over 20 years.

He was a former Executive Officer with the AFSCME Local 1705 Union.

A kind and thoughtful son, brother and friend, Jake was always there for his mom and siblings in good times and bad. He was also a passionate sports fan especially with the Red Sox, Patriots and going to the Golden Gloves.

Jake is survived by his sister Dorothy A. (Davis) Sweeney and her husband Paul of Lowell; his brother Joseph A. Davis of East Norriton, PA; 5 nephews, Patrick Sweeney and his wife Jennifer, Shaun Sweeney, Brendan Sweeney, Brian Sweeney and Garrett Davis; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was also the brother of the late Robert “Bob” Davis.

Friends may call at the O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL on Sunday March 20, 2022, from 2 to 5 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass to be celebrated Monday morning at ST. PATRICK CHURCH at 10 o’clock followed by his burial in St. Mary Cemetery in No. Tewksbury.
